BRIEF NARRATIVE: On May 23, 2018 at approximately 1911 hours officers were dispatched to the Ethan Allen
Motel for an informational complaint. Staff advised someone had “snuck into” one of the rooms on the property and utilized it without paying. The room was found to be empty. Approximately two and half hours later, police were later contacted by hotel staff, when the room in question appeared to be occupied as the lights were on and the curtains drawn.
Officers responded and located a male inside the room who was not a guest of the hotel. The male was identified as Travis Simpson, 22 years old of Winooski. Simpson did not have permission to be in the room and had entered through a window.
Simpson was taken into custody and transported to the South Burlington Police Department for processing. Simpson was fingerprinted and photographed and released on conditions set by a Judge. Simpson is
scheduled to appear in court on May 24, 2018.
