M. Plunkett PHONE: 846-4111 BRIEF NARRATIVE: On the evening of 5/22/18, at approximately 10:13pm, South Burlington police officers were called to the area of 4 Logwood Street for the report of an argument and possible gunshot. Upon arrival officers encountered a vehicle that was attempting to leave the area at a high rate of speed. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and upon doing so the operator of the vehicle accelerated toward an officer who was on foot. After several moments, the vehicle reversed course away from the officer and fled into the neighborhood. The vehicle was eventually located, abandoned, in a backyard of a residence on Logwood Street. The operator, identified as Krystal L. Brace (34 years old of Burlington), is currently being sought by our agency in regard to this incident (see attached). As officers searched for the vehicle, other South Burlington police officers made contact with the lone occupant of 4 Logwood Street. The occupant, Ryan M. Johnson (42 years old of South Burlington), indicated he was showing a gun to others when the gun discharged. There were no injuries as a result of the discharge. Johnson was issued a citation for Violations of Conditions of Release and Reckless Endangerment and is due to appear in court on 6/14/18 at 8:30am. This incident remains under investigation.
