BRIEF NARRATIVE: On 04/06/2018 at approximately 01:08 AM a South Burlington Police Officer was conducting traffic enforcement on Williston Road when they observed a vehicle traveling from Burlington into the City of South Burlington. The vehicle was observed to be traveling at a speed of 47 miles per hour in a posted 25 mile per hour speed zone. A traffic stop was conducted and the operator was identified as Ryan Prue, 26, of Winooski, VT. While speaking to Prue the Officer observed an odor of intoxicants emanating from his person and for his eyes to be bloodshot and watery. The Officer administered a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Exercises in which Prue displayed numerous clues of impairment. Prue provided a preliminary sample of his breath showing his BAC to be .177%. Prue was subsequently taken into custody for suspicion of Driving Under the Influence. Prue was processed and issued a citation to appear in court on 04/26/2018 at 08:30 AM for the suspected
violation.
