INCIDENT TYPE: Violation of Conditions of Release
BRIEF NARRATIVE:
On April 24th, 2018, at approximately 1:46 PM, South Burlington Police observed a male and
female at the intersection of I-189 and Shelburne Road. The male and female were standing next
to each other.
Upon approach, the male left on foot towards the Gateway Plaza at 570 Shelburne Road in South Burlington. The male was identified as Shawn Mumley (39years old from Burlington). The female advised Mumley had stopped to talk to her.
South Burlington Police made contact with Mumley in the Gateway Plaza and determined he had
active conditions of release prohibiting contact with the female. Mumley was taken into custody
and transported to the South Burlington Police Department for processing.
After contacting a judge, Mumley was issued a citation to appear in the Chittenden Superior Court
Criminal Division on Wednesday, April 25th, 2018 at 8:30 AM.
