NARRATIVE:
On November 1st, 2018 at approximately 3:37 AM the South Burlington Police and Fire Departments
were called to Market Street for a reported car fire. Initial information provided indicated that the
complainant heard an explosion and then saw a suspect, possibly a male wearing a backpack, fleeing
south on foot.
During the investigation Officers learned that the vehicle had been unknowingly taken without the
owners consent from a South Burlington resident. The investigation is continuing with the assistance
of the Vermont State Police Arson Unit. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call
