Minutes
Meeting Called to Order at 5:39 PM
1. Welcome: Kevin Dorn
2. Instructions on exiting building in case of emergency.
3. Minutes of the August Committee meeting approved
4. Agenda Review: Additions, deletions, or changes in order of
agenda items. There were no additions to the agenda.
5. Comments and questions from the public not related to the
agenda: There were no comments from the public.
6. Kevin Dorn gave an update on the upcoming 9/26 symposium.
7. Paul Conner, Director of Planning and Zoning
a. Gave an update on Planning and Zoning issues and an
overview of what is happening in the City.
b. Discussed activity and development around major
arties/clusters in the City.
c. Discussed current key projects in City: Reevaluation of
TDR Program in Southern Quadrant, prioritizing open
spaces in City, how to maintain parcels of more than 4 acres and re-envisioning larger versus smaller
neighborhoods in City.
d. Discussed airport issues and the impact on housing.
e. Discussed impact and opportunities associated with a
direct exit from I-89 to the airport.
8. Committee discussed the City Comprehensive Plan and how it
directs growth and associated issues.
a. Discussed economic development possibilities with the
Plan.
b. Discussed how to instill measurability into new Comprehensive Plan.
9. Adjourn: The Committee adjourned at 7: 19 pm.
