Minutes
Meeting Called to Order at 5:35 PM
1. Welcome: Kevin Dorn
2. Instructions on exiting building in case of emergency.
3. Minutes of the May Committee meeting approved
4. Agenda Review: Additions, deletions, or changes in order of
agenda items. There were no additions to the agenda.
5. Comments and questions from the public not related to the
agenda: There were no comments from the public.
6. Charlie Baker and Christine of the Chittenden County
Regional Planning Commission attended to give background
and answer committee questions on potential plans for the VT 116/Kimball Ave/Exit 12B corridor. Guests presented the
Regional Transportation Plan and traffic patterns effecting
South Burlington based on future projections.
a. Committee questioned guests on the regional transportation plan to clarify timelines, alternatives to
exit 12B, ways to make 12B work.
b. Committee discussed impact on community and traffic,
safety issues, and the positive economic development
impact of adding exit 12B.
c. Kevin Dorn described the Federal grant application
process for a bike overpass over 89.
7. Committee discussed the upcoming Annual Report due by August 15, 2019. Seth described the annual report leadership
meeting and what needs to be done.
8. Committee discussed September date for the committee to
meet with City Council.
9. Adjourn: The Committee adjourned at 7: 02 pm. Next meeting
scheduled for July 29, 2019.
