Meeting Called to Order at 5:40 PM
1. Welcome: Kevin Dorn
2. Instructions on exiting building in case of emergency.
3. Agenda Review: Additions, deletions, or changes in order of
agenda items. There were no additions to the agenda.
4. Comments and questions from the public not related to the
agenda: There were no comments from the public.
5. Committee discussed history and potential economic
development impact of the Exit 12B issue. Invited guests: Jeff
Nick, JL Davis Realty, Al Synical, Brook Development and
Kevin Langfeld, Brian Brothers.
a. Problems identified/issues discussed:
-Other SB exits and areas overburdened with traffic.
-No research available, yet, on the potential economic
impact of 12B.
-Discussed potentially negative impact on who/what, if 12B were to proceed.
-Discussed negative economic, social and
environmental impact if 12B is not built.
-Discussed positive impact if 12B is built. Example,
lessening traffic on Hinesburg Rd., reducing commuter time, reduction in auto emissions.
6. Further Discussion of the Economic Development
Committee’s Mission/Priorities Continued from Previous Meeting: City Manger Kevin Dorn again explained what the
City Council is looking for from the committee.
7. Adjourn: The Committee adjourned at 7: 05 pm. Next meeting
scheduled for May 28, 2019.
