HomeMy WebLinkAboutDR-07-12 - Decision - 0150 Dorset StreetCITY OF SOUTH BURLINGTON DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND ZONING STEVE GUILD DESIGN 150 DORSET STREET SUTIE 340 DESIGN REVIEW APPLICATION # DR-07-12 FINDINGS OF FACT AND DECISION Steve Guild Design, hereafter referred to as the applicant, is requesting design review approval for the exterior modifications to the property located at 150 Dorset Street. The subject property falls within Design District 1 of the City Center Design Review Overlay District. Pursuant to Section 11.01 of the South Burlington Land Development Regulations, these changes shall be subject to design review by the Design Review Committee (DRC) and the Development Review Board (DRB). The Development Review Board held a public hearing on Tuesday, January 8, 2008. The applicant was not present at the meeting. Based on testimony provided at the above mentioned public hearing and the plans and supporting materials contained in the document file for this application, the Development Review Board finds, concludes, and decides the following: FINDINGS OF FACT The applicant is proposing to relocate an entrance door to a spot more easterly on the south -facing wall. The original door will be reused. The applicant is also proposing an interior remodel of the space. Finally, the applicant is proposing a new refrigeration system to be located towards the back side of the property, on the roof. The proposed refrigeration unit is similar in size and style to that which already exists on the site. 2. The owner of record of the subject property is Dorset Square Associates. 3. The subject property is located in the Central District 1 Zoning District as well as the Design District 1 of the City Center Design Review Overlay District. 4. The plans submitted consist of: a three (3) page set of plans, page one (1) entitled, "Nothing But Noodles Blue Mall- exterior fit up, South Burlington, VT. The South Burlington Design Review Committee discussed the proposal and has no concerns regarding the proposal. The Design Review Committee unanimously voted to recommend approval of the proposal by the Development Review Board. All previous approvals and stipulations shall remain in full effect except as amended herein. 2. This project shall be completed as shown on the plans submitted by the applicant and on file in the South Burlington Department of Planning and Zoning. 3. The applicant shall obtain a zoning permit within six (6) months pursuant to Section 17.04 of the Land Development Regulations or this approval is null and void. 4. The applicant shall obtain a Certificate of Occupancy/Compliance from the Administrative Officer prior to use and occupancy of the new door. 5. Any change to the site plan shall require approval by the South Burlington Development Review Board or the South Burlington Administrative Officer.
