HomeMy WebLinkAboutSP-11-37 - Decision - 1200 Airport Drive#SP-11-37 CITY OF SOUTH BURLINGTON DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND ZONING CITY OF BURLINGTON — BURLINGTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT 1200 AIRPORT DRIVE SITE PLAN APPLICATION #SP-11-37 FINDINGS OF FACT AND DECISION City of Burlington/Burlington International Airport, hereinafter referred to as the applicant, is seeking approval to amend a previously approved plan for a two (2) level addition to a three (3) level parking garage. The amendment consists of: 1) relocating the previously approved southerly crosswalk approximately 375 feet to the north, and 2) revising the landscaping plan, 1200 Airport Drive. Based on the plans and materials contained in the document file for this application, the Administrative Officer finds, concludes, and decides the following: FINDINGS OF FACT 1. The Applicant is seeking site plan approval to amend a previously approved plan for a two (2) level addition to a three (3) level parking garage. The amendment consists of: 1) relocating the previously approved southerly crosswalk approximately 375 feet to the north, and 2) revising the landscaping plan, 1200 Airport Drive. 2. The application was received on August 26, 2011. 3. The owner of record of the subject property is City of Burlington/Burlington International Airport. 4. The subject property is located in the Airport Zoning District. 5. The plan submitted consists of a four (4) page set of plans; page one (1) entitled "Burlington International Airport Parking Expansion 2 South Burlington, Vermont", prepared by Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.; dated 6/30/11. Landscaping 6. The amendment consists of replacing and relocating previously approved trees and shrubs with plants of equal or greater value than the original value. Crosswalk 7. The previously approved southerly crosswalk is being relocated approximately 375 feet to the north at the request of the Director of Public Works. This relocation will also result in the elimination 375 feet of new sidewalk along the easterly side of Airport Drive. - 1 - #SP-11-37 DECISION Based on the above Findings of Fact, the Administrative Officer herby approves Site Plan Application #SP-11-37 of City of Burlington/Burlington International Airport seeking approval to amend a previously approved plan for a two (2) level addition to a three (3) level parking garage. The amendment consists of: 1) relocating the previously approved southerly crosswalk approximately 375 feet to the north, and 2) revising the landscaping plan, 1200 Airport Drive. 1. All previous approvals and stipulations which are not superseded by this approval shall remain in effect. 2. This project shall be completed as shown on the plan and shall be on file in the South Burlington Department of Planning and Zoning. 3. The applicant shall obtain a zoning permit within six (6) months pursuant to Section 17.04 of the Land Development Regulations or this approval is null and void. 4. The applicant shall obtain a Certificate of Occupancy from the Administrative Officer prior upon completion of the installation of the new plants. 5. Any change to the site plan shall require approval by the South Burlington Development Review Board or the Administrative Officer. Signed on this day of �l , 2011 by Raymond 1.
